Welcome to AFRICAN SAFARI LODGE

African Safari Lodge is situated only 17km outside of Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape, and about one and half hours by road from Port Elizabeth at the end of the famous Garden Route.

The lodge and Deluxe River Suites are perched on a low ridge in the most beautiful location along the upper Kariega at the crown of two rivers, with breathtaking views. Self-catering, B&B or fully catered accommodation is available through pre-booking. From the spacious patios with braai (barbeque) facilities one overlooks the river and valley, it's a little piece of paradise offering game drives, bush walks, river boat cruises, fishing, and look out points, where one can view zebra, buffalo and a wide variety of antelope, among many other animals.

A Stay Like No Other

No Continent gives you the lasting Memories that Africa does . . . "Africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. Once you have been there, you will never be the same. But how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it?

But how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it?

The Eye never forgets what the Heart has seen

No Continent gives you the lasting Memories that Africa does . . . "Africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. Once you have been there, you will never be the same. But how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it? How can you explain the fascination of this vast, dusty continent, whose oldest roads are elephant paths? Could it be because Africa is the place of all our beginnings, the cradle of mankind? Maybe that was what led Karen Blixen to say in OUT OF AFRICA, "Here I am, where I belong".
